Comparing @solana and @avax blockchain scalability for which one currently has the best solution, I think Avalanche is the winner with near-infinite scalability combined with very high speed per each L1. Solana is monolithically a much faster L1. However, compared to all Avalanche L1s in aggregate, the aggregate currently has higher throughput and works more like the actual internet.
Link to Snowpeer above shows 77 active Layer 1 Avalanche chains Avascan is showing 343 blockchains, but I think that includes testnets and other variations
