What should I do if I deposit to the wrong address?

Causes

The deposit address isn't associated with the OKX platform:
- Due to user operational errors, these issues can't be addressed temporarily.
Deposits made to a major wallet address:
- Require user verification before processing.

Step 1: Confirm that the cryptocurrency, network, and token contract match

Please check whether the following information exactly matches what is shown on the platform’s deposit page.
- Is cryptocurrency correct? (e.g., USDT, ETH)
- Is the deposit network correct? (e.g., ERC20, TRC20, BEP20)
- Is the token contract correct? (applicable to certain cryptocurrencies)
If any of the above information does not match, the deposit will be considered an unsupported deposit, and the crypto will not be credited automatically.

Web: Please submit a support ticket to contact our customer support and provide the relevant information (such as deposit time, amount, transaction ID (TxID), screenshots, etc.). We will assist you with further processing.

Step 2: The cryptocurrency and network are correct, but the deposit is still not credited?

If you have confirmed that the cryptocurrency, network, and token contract are all correct, but the deposit has still not been credited, please try the following.

Review and confirm the source of the deposit address to check whether the crypto were mistakenly sent to another person’s address
Contact the address provider or the relevant platform for further assistance

Important Note: Cryptocurrencies that require a Tag/Memo

If you deposited a token that requires a Tag/Memo (such as XRP), please make sure that the Tag/Memo was filled in correctly when sending the crypto:

Missing or incorrect Tags/Memos may result in crypto not being recognized or credited.
